 The Zalokars are passionate about growing, educating, cooking and promoting regional food so the natural outcome, two years ago was to open self-contained farm cottages on their 19 acre property of natural bush, orchards and gardens. They offer guests a Buy Local Shopping Service supplying meals and provisions using local, organic and fair trade produce & products. They also produce their own small-batch range of preserves – Pemberton Breakaway Cottages Preserves – made from their own fruits and vegetables and from other local growers, a natural extension of what they do and of country life in general. These preserves are sold into local galleries and stores such as the Pemberton Wine Centre and Pemberton Fine Woodcraft Gallery.
