We are running 3 Mushroom Tunnel Tours in collaboration with Southern Highlands Tourism on Tues 2 Aug, Tues 25 Oct 2011 and Tues 10 Jan 2012. This very popular tour is strictly limited and bookings are essential. Come if you haven't been before - the exotic mushrooms are fascinating as is Noel Arrold the micro-biologist who owns the Li Sun Mushroom business. Price: $35 Book at the Visitor Information Centre in Mittagong or ring 4871 2888. MEET THE FARMER - A Day in Canyonleigh. This is a new tour! The Southern Highlands is made up of several different areas with unique characteristics. We are exploring them one by one starting with Canyonleigh on Sat 6 Aug (6hrs). We are very excited about these tours and have had fun developing the itineraries. At Canyonleigh we will visit two vineyards, an olive farm, an alpaca farm and enjoy a delicious lunch and wine tasting at the Canyonleigh General Store. Check the website for details. Price: $110 Farmers Market Tour on Sat 13 Aug (1.5hrs). This is our regular tour at the Bowral Public School Market where we take you to meet the local producers. Price: $27.50 Market to Table Tour also on Sat 13 Aug (5.5hrs) in conjunction with the Blue Bowl Cooking School.This is a special day made up of 3 components - the Farmers Market Tour, an Interactive Cooking Class and a Long Table Lunch with local wine. See the website for details. These tours are run monthly on the 2nd Sat at Bowral. Price: $185 MEET THE FARMER - A Day in Sutton Forest on Sat 20 Aug 2011 (6hrs). This FoodPath Day Tour explores the Sutton Forest area through to Exeter. The itinerary includes a visit to a berry farm, an olive farm, visits to two vineyards owned by Italian families and a delicious lunch at the Studio restaurant in Exeter where we also have a tour of this unusual building. Price: $115 Produce Market Tour – Moss Vale on Sat 27 Aug 2011 (1.5hrs). Come with us to the market and meet the local producers. Hear them talk about their business and enjoys some tastings. Price: $27.50 Food Preserving Workshop at Howards Lane vineyard on Sun 28 Aug (3hrs) from 10am - 1pm. These are run monthly and include a range of food preserving topics.
