Rice is on the agricultural menu again in WA's north-west.

Once again The Ord River irrigation area in the East Kimberley is raising rice crops, planted by growers associated with SunRice between March and April this year. Western Australia’s first commercial rice crop in almost three decades is about to be harvested and is expected to yield between eight to 10 tonnes per hectare. It is hoped that up to 1,000ha of rice could be planted next year.
