Most Australians have enjoyed a Batlow Apple, famous for their sweet flavour and crisp bite, traits that are unique in apples from the Batlow Region. Batlow is located at the base of the Snowy Mountains, 450kms south west of Sydney.

The Batlow Fruit Co-operative is grower owned and 100% Australian. Today is recognised as one of the largest storage and packing operations in the country. Collectively our growers market and pack on average one million cartons of apples every year.

In packing Australia's favourite apple the co-operative has invested heavily in the latest technology to ensure a consistent premium quality. Our advanced handling methods are worlds apart from the old hand packing regimes used in previous decades. We continue to be proud of our achievements and we look forward to growing and providing the best tasting apple experience to Australians into the future. brands: Batlow growers are famous for producing Bonza, Braeburn, Royal Gala, Pink Lady, Fuji, Granny smith, Red Delicious, Sundowner and Jonathon apples.

Unique: Apples need mild days and cool nights during ripening to increase colour and crunch. The Batlow region provides a perfect growing climate, not replicated anywhere in Australia.

Batlow Apples can be found at any good independent green grocer.

A major part of the Batlow Secret to growing great apples is a very precise climate. Based in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, the town of Batlow has the perfect climate-not too hot and not too cold.
Red apple varieties need the cooler weather at night during ripening as it triggers an enzyme to increase the colour of the fruit. The Batlow climate is just right. Combined with its rich soil, Batlow provides growing conditions which cannot be found or replicated anywhere else in Australia.

Not open to the public, however the Batlow Apples Road Stall, in Batlow, sells apples in season. Many Batlow Apples growers have roadside stalls which are open to the public from late February-June each year selling anything from fresh Batlow Apples to freshly squeezed apple juice.
