Working as a winemaker in France for three years, Victoria had an opportunity to taste some amazing cheeses. When she returned to the Barossa Valley, also known for its fine produce, she decided to indulge her dream of creating specialist Barossan cheese.

After several years of experimenting in their kitchen Victoria and her mother, Frances McClurg, decided to open a shop in the heart of Angaston and there they now each week hand-make 150 kg of mainly soft, fresh cheeses including camembert, brie and washed rind styles, as well as a fresh soft tangy vache curd and a creamy soft feta. Winners in 2007 at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards for the Champion washed rind cheese in Australia, the Cheesecellar is a must when visiting the Barossa Valley .
