Barham Avocados is a family run avocado orchard.

Horsehoe Bend is Katrina's family farm. Tim and Katrina took over the farm from Debbie, Katrina's mother in 2010. Debbie has been farming avocados at Horseshoe Bend for 12 years. Prior to that it was a mixed farming enterprise, predominantly beef and lucerne.

Tim and Katrina decided to move back to the farm after seeing the potential
in avocados. Having grown up on farms it had always been in their minds to
one day own a farm. Katrina has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Masters of Environmental Management. Tim has a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and been a practicing Vet for 10 years prior to the move to Barham.
Katrina is also co-founder of the Red Gum Food Group and the Koondrook-Barham Farmers’ Market

The orchard holds over 2500 trees on the family farm, and the Myers are carrying on the family’s tradition for excellence in avocado growing – as previously done by Katrina’s mum Debbie.

“Our orchard is pesticide-free,” say Tim and Katrina Myers, the owners, “and our fruit is grown with love.”

Barham is on the banks of the Murray river and Tim and Katrina specialise in growing Reed and Hass avocados, but also harvest a select group of Gwen, Fuerte, Bacon and Wurtz avocados.

“At Barham Avocados we work to produce fruit grown to the highest standards in the country,” they say. “Our quality avocados are fruit we
feel proud to share with our family and our friends – and know that our
buyers feel the same.”

Barham avocados are currently sold to restaurants, retailers and wholesale
